An Independence, Missouri man is left in serious condition after a car accident on Friday.
81-year-old Robert Ball was westbound on U.S. Route 36 four miles east of Stewartsville Friday afternoon when Ball's car traveled off of the south side of the roadway. Ball's vehicle then struck an embankment, and overturned several times finally coming to rest on its top at the bottom of a ditch.
Ball was transported to the Kansas University Medical Center by lifenet to be treated for his serious injuries.
